Cottage Kitchen Refurb.

Our clients had a timber building that was in disrepair and on the brink of collapse. They asked us to construct a new, larger version of it, with three bays instead of the initial two.

To keep costs down we worked with the existing brickwork but added an additional two courses of reclaimed brick to raise the timber frame above the surrounding ground level. We also created front brick plinths to support the oak frame.

The back and side walls were constructed from treated softwood and clad in larch feather edge. Corrugated metal sheets were used for the roof as the client wanted a simple, functional building.
